Being Taught by the Holy Spirit

This past Sunday was Pentecost Sunday and it is a good idea to keep our focus on the Holy Spirit.

Today’s devotional from Crosswalk tells us:

“As believers, we’ve been given the Holy Spirit as a Helper, Teacher, Friend, and seal for the promised inheritance of eternal life with God. His presence, guidance, and wisdom in our lives are our greatest gifts while here on earth.”

I Heard The Lord Speak In A Dream ” The Greater The Battle, The Bigger The Miracle”

Lana Vawser shares her prophetic dream for all who have been enduring hardships.

“In the dream I could also feel the weariness of many saints and many have been saying “the battle has been SO great” and the Spirit of God was bringing comfort to these ones as they have been in such major battles.

At the same time I could feel the Spirit of God bringing a perspective shift. It was a move of His Spirit to bring His people higher into His perspective.

He was inviting them to see as HE sees, to not magnify the battle but magnify HIM.

To magnify HIS name and to magnify HIS power that is going to explode forth.”

Dozens killed in ‘satanic’ attack on Catholic church in Nigeria, officials say

Tragedy struck yesterday in a Catholic church in Nigeria and we all need to pray.

“LONDON and ABUJA, Nigeria — Dozens of people, including women and children, were killed in southwestern Nigeria on Sunday when gunmen attacked a church, officials said.”

Why Self-Help Is Not Encouragement

Lindsey Carlson of The Gospel Coalition invites us to rethink how we give encouragement to fellow believers.

“We must be encouraged by words that do not change or fail; we require the encouragement of God’s Word that “proves true” and “is a shield for all those who take refuge in him” (Ps. 18:30).”
