Inscribing REJOICE in the Book of Psalm

Fresh off our recent word study post, we are now going to be inscribing REJOICE from the book of Psalm.

Inscribing the word refers to writing scripture.

It is a simple, but purposeful Bible Study Method that brings the Word of God to life.

The intention behind the practice is to set aside time to focus on the actual words as inscribed in the Bible.

By writing them out ourselves, they will come alive in our hearts and we will connect with God in such a deep way.

This simple activity is not only therapeutic for us, but is an active and unique form of worship.

Yahweh will surely meet with us as we allow ourselves to be still. The power of the words will wash over us.

It will transform our lives and usher us into peace.

This is the day that the Lord has made;    let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24

Why Are We Inscribing REJOICE?

REJOICE has been intentionally chosen to kick off what we hope to be a series of focus words to inscribe.

We chose this word in particular because we feel a need to focus on the joy the Lord.

The joy and peace our God provides is sustaining.

It causes us to put on the armor of God.

In the invisible war that is constantly raging, focusing on worship allows us to fight in the Spirit.

It gives us an offensive tactic to combat depression and anxiety.

Verses on joy and rejoicing are sure to lift our moods and give us hope.

In 2022 alone so far, we’ve all heard of more suicide cases than we care to hear of in an entire year.

I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love,    because you have seen my affliction;    you have known the distress of my soul,

Psalm 31:7

One thing is for sure, when we praise, we frustrate the enemy.

If nothing else, setting our minds on praise through inscribing scripture on rejoicing will set us up to win in spiritual warfare throughout the day.

You can do this activity at whatever time suits you best.

However, we highly recommend tryin this first thing in the morning.

Starting our days off with rejoicing and praise will set the tone for the rest of the day.

How to Get The Most Out Of Inscribing The Word

There is no set formula for inscribing the word.

The only obvious necessity is the actual process of writing out the scripture.

From here you can simply write out an accompanying prayer.

You can also take it a bit further and use the S.O.A.P Bible Study Method to journal out your thoughts.

Whatever you choose to do, you are sure to reap awesome benefits from writing out these joy-filled verses.

Below are 30 scriptures, giving us a month’s worth of exploration and deep study. Feel free to start this journey in any month.
