7 Powerful Verses To Pray Over Our Children

Today, let us explore 7 powerful verses to pray over our children.

We all pray over our children but how intentional are we about praying God’s Word itself over them?

It can be so easy to fall into a quick routine of prayer; especially when the weariness of parenting sets in.

But the Word does tell us that the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. We therefore really ought to prioritize praying not just our words, but activate the power of God’s Word which never fails.

Christian author and speaker, Elisabeth Elliot, once encouraged at a women’s conference, that we should all get into the habit of saving other people’s prayers.

This is very sage advice as indeed, many stalwarts of the faith have left us wonderful prayers that have taken them through many a struggle.

Saving Prayers

“Prayer lays hold of God’s plan and becomes the link between His will and its accomplishment on earth. Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege of being the channels of the Holy Spirit’s prayer.”

~ Elisabeth Elliot

In the same way too, there are so many powerful prayers recorded in the Bible.

We can only benefit from the practical habit of copying these prayers for ourselves.

Below are 7 prayers for 7 days of scripture to state our faith over our kids.

Go right ahead and save them.

Saturday Prayer

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

– Romans 8:37-39

Dear Lord,

Creator of Heaven and Earth,

I praise and thank You that my child is indeed more than a conqueror through You Lord Jesus.

I declare, like Paul, that no power, seen or unseen and no created thing will ever be able to separate my child from Your love.

Holy Spirit, grant my child the assurance that he/she is loved by Love Himself and that no weapons formed against him/her will ever prosper.
