Seek the Lord – The Bible’s Plea

That we should seek the Lord, our God with all our heart, soul and mind really ought to go without saying for believers.

For us this is as great a need as eating to survive.

Some may see this as an exaggeration. But, those who hunger after righteousness know that spiritual sustenance makes all the difference in life.

For the newly converted and those who have been rocking with God for quite a moment, actual biblical reminders are priceless.

Scriptures focused specifically on seeking the Lord lights a fire in us.

While gifted speakers preach powerful sermons that move us and while masterful writers pen helpful and relatable devotions, nothing compares to actual scripture.

One verse has the power to reignite passion and prompt us to pray continually as Paul exhorts in Thessalonians.

The living, breathing Word of God somehow does what none else can.

Avoid Spiritual Apathy

Spiritual apathy plagues many a believer from time to time.

Avoiding and overcoming it is pretty important as it allows us to feast on the goodness of our Lord.

To not fall into the trap of leading empty spiritual lives marred by familiarity, boredom and disinterest, we need tools for course correction and spiritual renewal.

The Word of God can be relied upon to propel us to the rekindling needed. It will pull us from apathy to great intimacy with our Lord.

Let us ask the Holy Spirit to lead us into extraordinary faithfulness through the Word.

Below are carefully selected scriptures that can be used to help us to joyfully seek God.

Plenty of other verses could make the cut, but we chose 31 to give you a month’s worth of ‘seek’ scriptures.

You can use them in your quiet time with God to journal using the S.O.A.P method or simply inscribe and add a pray the scripture.

A short prayer will be included for the first 7 days. This will show you just how easy it is to pray God’s Word back to Him.

Feel free to pray further and read the full chapters to get full context each day.
