21 Bible Verses That Show Us The Ways Of God

The ways of God are what we will explore in today’s post.

God is amazing, incomprehensible, inexhaustible and all together lovely.

Contemplating God in His fullness is pretty unrealistic as we always fall short.

Who can fathom the unfathomable?

For many of us though, we cannot resist the pull to seek to know Him more.

We have a yearning to know as much about Him as humanly possible.

To be honest, writing about who God is seems entirely presumptuous outside the context of His Word.

Even for those of us who have experienced the Divine, not one of us can say unequivocally that we’ve reached some sort of threshold or broken the invisible barrier of full understanding.

Still, this propels us to commit to a lifelong pursuit of the Holy.

Fortunately for us, God, in His grace has afforded us glimpses into His nature through His Word.

We all need reminders of those bits of Him we’ve been privy to.

Today, we’ve gathered just 21 verses that capture a little of His essence.

They speak to His characteristics, for lack of better words.

Think of this list as us doing a little bit of homework for you.

A handy reference sheet of sorts.

Why We Should Seek To The Ways Of God?

Despite the truth that we will always be limited in our capacity to truly know Him, pursuing that knowledge holds immeasurable importance for us.

Pastor Michael Todd of Transformation Church recently shared that “we all have a God-sized hole we are trying to fill.”

We traverse this life with a longing, a longing that only relationship with God can satisfy.

And what’s beautiful and frankly, quite mind-blowing is that He wants to have relationship with us, His creation too.

Now, You would agree that it is certainly difficult to maintain relationships with another we have no idea about, Right?

So that clears up that. We need to know who God is to have relationship with Him.

A.W. Tozer’s insightful quote gives us another pertinent reason for us to try to know who God is.

What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us

TOZER

We should seek to know who God is to get a healthy reference point for who we are.

And again, we simply cannot know who He is (or ultimately who we are) without exploring scripture.

We must draw near to Him and He will in turn, draw near to us.

So let us look at some of the things He tells us about Himself.
